TRANSFIRST Leverages IP Payments Framework to Expand Growth in New Markets
DALLAS (November 7, 2006) — TRANSFIRST, a leading provider of payment processing services and payment enabling technologies, announced today that John Shlonsky has joined the company as its President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Shlonsky brings almost two decades of experience in the financial industry to his new role with TRANSFIRST. As President and COO, he will be responsible for overseeing the company's core sales function, leading and developing talent within TRANSFIRST's core business units, overseeing key partnerships and implementing innovative technologies and processes.

A talented manager of both revenue and expense dynamics, Shlonsky has a proven track record and is well regarded within the industry for his financial expertise. Shlonsky spent 11 years at First Data Corporation and its affiliates and held various leadership roles throughout his tenure, serving most recently as President of First Data Merchant Services where he had responsibility for all business units including all alliances as well as Card Services International, TASQ, and Concord.
