10.16.06 | TRANSFIRST names Palmquist Vice President of Business Development for Independent Sales Services Division
Palmquist will apply experience, knowledge to western region's needs
DALLAS (October 16, 2006) — TRANSFIRST, a leading provider of credit card processing services and payment enabling technologies, announced that Dan Palmquist has been named the western region vice president of business development for its Independent Sales Services (ISS) division. In this role, Palmquist will help lead the company's business growth and development with independent sales organizations and agents in the country's western region. Utilizing his more than 15 years of sales experience, Dan will be developing new business relationships, increasing market penetration for TRANSFIRST's products and services, and assisting independent sales organizations and sales contractors in customizing merchant processing programs.

Prior to joining the ISS Division of TRANSFIRST, Palmquist successfully led the company's Government Services Division (GSD) of TRANSFIRST. In 2004, Palmquist joined the company as a direct sales account executive for GSD, where he built a successful direct sales portfolio. "My experience developing the GSD was valuable in that it allowed me to build an intimate knowledge of growing a sales division from the ground up, while affording me the opportunity to further hone my skills managing major accounts, such as large municipalities, from acquisition to roll-out. As I look to expand the Western Region ISA/ISO sales channels, my time and experience in building the GSD business will help me meet our company and client goals," said Palmquist.
