08.30.05 | TRANSFIRST Names Barry Ervi Midwest Vice President of Business Development for Its Independent Sales Services Division

DALLAS (Aug. 30, 2005) – Dallas-based TRANSFIRST, a leading provider of transaction processing services and payment enabling technologies, today announced that Barry Ervi has been named the Midwest vice president of business development for its Independent Sales Services division. In this role, Ervi, who has 15 years of experience in the bankcard industry, will help lead the company’s business growth and development with independent sales organizations and agents in the country’s Midwest region. His primary responsibilities will be to develop new business relationships, increase market share for TRANSFIRST’s products and services and assist independent sales organizations and sales agents in customizing merchant processing programs.

Prior to joining TRANSFIRST, Ervi served as a business development manager for Paymentech. He has also held sales and management positions with Chase Merchant Services and First USA Bank. Ervi received his bachelor’s degree in marketing and a minor in advertising from Texas Tech University.
